The Dirty Devil Mining Complex are Uranium mines located in the San Rafael Swell near Green River.

History

This section requires more information. There is little known history of the Dirty Devil Mine site. The abandoned Dirty Devil uranium mines at Tomsich Butte were started by WJ Hanret and John Tomsich in 1951.

Mine Sites

The Dirty Devil Mine is unique for it's rare mineral formations deep within the mine and it's wide, tall tunneling construction for operating machinery within the mine. Within the mine, rare formations of Gyspum hair crystals can be found growing up to 5 feet long.
