Utah Launch Complex

The Utah Launch Complex, also known as the Green River Missile Complex, was built for testing of Athena and Pershing missiles. The complex was last used around 1974/1975, as has been in caretaker status ever since. The lack of No Tresspassing signs are an inviting call for urban speleologists. While the site remains open, rumors have it that police now patrol the area from time to time.

Debate

The site has been a topic of great debate, called "[The New Area 51"[1] by Popular Mechanics. Green River Mayor Judy Ann Scott claims some "big military" helicopters landed there a little bit back. She has been known to be very secretive when the topic of the location ever comes up.

Location

38°58'22.69"N 110° 7'21.13"W @ 4200' The area is located just east of Green River off I-70 and can be seen from the road.
