Mojave Underground Preservation Projects at the Ophir Hill Mine

Mojave Underground has been working very hard in Ophir - improving our relations with key figures and working hard on two projects within the mine and several off-site. With so much going on there is an ever increasing need for funding and volunteer labor for certain components of the projects, and it is with this need that we are reaching-out to our members. Below is the flyer for the projects we need assistance with. As always, any help; donations, tips, suggestions, labor, etc. are welcome. Any questions can be addressed in this thread or PM'd to me. Once I get everything else repaired and done this weekend and prep for the project work I think we can all count on these projects taking place every weekend in September BUT this weekend and the weekend of September 10-11th. Since there is no precedent for this I can't guarantee that we will be done by the end of September, or that there won't be additional items that need to be worked on as well. If any of you out there are waiting, don't wait too long as once we get into mid-September we will want to crank this out.

Greetings - Exciting projects! As I'd be coming from Oregon, and need to coordinate time off with my business partner, I need to plan in advance. Any plans for working on these projects over New Years?

I am hoping to have these projects completed by the end of the year, so it's tough to say if we will be in on New Years - we will have to see. It looks like based on our response to the fundraiser we will be able to get going as soon as this weekend, working as much as we can in September to get as far as we can. If anyone else would like to offer assistance, please PM me. As the plans get finalized (hopefully by tomorrow) we will post them for everyone.

You can donate via PayPal on the Mojave Underground landing page. Thanks to our donors, I will be able to pick-up a load of railroad ties to get us going on the re-timbering this weekend. For this Saturday we will be completely mucking the section in preparation for timber then beginning to set timbers. For our valued donors, please contact me via PM, Facebook, or otherwise if you are able to participate. Your thank you gifts are in the works. Since we have so much to do I am certain that we will have many weekends worth of work to keep us going, so don't worry if you can't make it this weekend.
